NEWS FLASH
Zagreb Airport will begin work on its runway on May 2, resulting in its closure to traffic between 23.00 and 06.25 the following morning. The work is scheduled to be completed by May 31 at the latest. As EX-YU Aviation News learns, Zagreb Airport will undertake an upgrade of its Aeronautical Ground Lighting system, with the first phase to involve exchanging the existing threshold and runway end from halogen to LED. This also includes an upgrade of the CCRs (Constant Current Regulators) and the ALCMS (Airfield Lightning Control System). The second phase will include a new approach, that is all Aeronautical Ground Lighting-related equipment. A fifty-person team is involved in the project. Ryanair has been most affected by the airport’s night-time closure, with over 110 flights cancelled in May.
Could this not have been done in winter or in some slower months and not in the summer season?

ReplyDelete"with over 110 flights cancelled in May" = seek help
DeleteOni bi ih otkazali i ovako i onako. Kao i svake godine. A ovo im dođe samo kao dobar izgovor
DeleteMiserable as always
DeletePozdrav I hope as many Ryanair flights as possible are affected!
DeleteAt Ryanair is where the real criminality lies, trying to destroy a country's flag carrier!
@pozdrav iz Rijeke
DeleteThat is less than four flights a day affected!
In order to make the runway better and safer.
But you are right, it is a disaster! :D :D :D
Hahaha! U sridu! Uhljebi na aparatima! 😃
ReplyDeleteWhy is on the picture the runway marked 25R
ReplyDeleteBecause it's not in Zagreb
DeleteIt's just an illustration obviously
