Croatia Airlines to redesign visual identity

Croatia Airlines plans to redesign its branding with the arrival of its first Airbus A220 aircraft early next year. According to the “AvioRadar” portal, emphasis will be put on revamping the carrier’s logo. “Croatia Airlines plans to redesign its logo as part of its fleet renewal with the arrival of the A220 aircraft, The project is currently in the planning phase and once completed, the company will inform the public with all the relevant details", Croatia Airlines said. The carrier’s initial logo was chosen in an international competition in 1993 and was designed by Vilim Vasata who in 1995 developed the current brand identity, while Ivana IvankoviΔ‡, who serves as the company's Head of Corporate Design, was responsible for the airline’s existing livery, which was adopted in 2004.

Croatia Airlines refreshed its visual identity by slightly tweaking its livery in 2019. As part of the new design, the letters "Croatia" on the fuselage were made larger, making them more noticeable and recognisable. The Croatian checkerboard symbol, featured on the tail, was further extended down the body of the aircraft, while the blue underbelly became white. However, to this day, the airline’s entire fleet has not been painted in the new livery. Late last year, the Croatian carrier concluded a lease agreement for four A220-300s and two A220-100s with the Air Lease Corporation and paid a deposit for the jets. The carrier plans to eventually replace its entire fleet with the A220s, with the lease of a further six jets of the same type earmarked for 2025 and 2026. The carrier also has the option of adding a further three units in 2027.

Croatia Airlines previously announced several other novelties with the arrival of its A220s. Passengers flying on the jets will be able to enjoy broadband services on their Wi-Fi/WLAN enabled devices including smartphones, tablets, and laptops, allowing them to write emails, surf the Internet, and update social media while in-flight. The carrier will feature its own digital content which will be available to passengers through the airline’s application, accessible while airborne. Travellers on board Croatia Airlines’ A220s will also enjoy an enhanced hard product. Its A220-100s will have the capacity to seat 127 passengers, while the A220-300s will welcome 148 customers in a two by three seat layout. Each seat will feature USB A and USB C ports, as well as smartphone and tablet holders. The aircraft’s spacious overhead compartments, the largest for a jet its size, will allow for every passenger to accommodate one roller bag. The airline’s CEO, Jasmin BajiΔ‡, recently noted, “We have been continually working on increasing the quality of our service”.

I really hope Croatia Airlines will be inspired to improve its on board product when the new planes arrive. Offering business class passengers a box with crackers and olives (served in economy class a few years ago) is really unacceptable for a full fare airline.

Yes, true, living in the fantasy World, and having "companie's Head of Corporate Design",which is an example clearly showing what I talk about : highly paid Uhljeb positions, non existing in other airlines, especially in midgets with fleet of 10 aircraft, half turboprops. And there are 200 of them, drinking coffee and gossiping in Buzin, and living in parallel Universe, imagining it will remain like that forever

well done to croatia airlines, the service and comfort sounds much better than the a319 of air serbia.
in this day and age simply having internet and ability to charge devices makes a huge difference to business people and to younger generation.
Air Serbia should also be focusing more on the service they provide. its not good enough for legacy carrier.

I am not against wifi. Not against new livery. Not against rent a car and music contracts. Not against good and complimentary in flight service, especially on board. But all these things should be at the bottom of priority list, not on the top. Top priorities should be decreasing losses, getting more of market share, growing, both fleet and network, stop being LH feeder on its own expense, getting rid of political influence, getting rid of uhljebs, getting competent and professional management, creating synergy with its ZAG hub partner, and so on and so on. Cosmetics is all they do, and in combination with "unification" of the fleet with world's most expensive aircraft in its category is guarantee to have Adria future

    15. First, if I "seem frustrated" to you, it doesn't mean I am frustrated. You don't have crystal ball.
Second, I RESIGNED from Croatia Airlines long time ago when it started becoming a sh.t.
Third, I still work in aviation, and the company I work for is NASA compared to Uhljeb Airlines.
Fourth, not even in a nightmare I would want to work for pathetic feeder and humiliated servant.
Fifth, you probably measure things and make conclusions based of your mindset, which is totally and genuinely corresponding to those in Buzin. Luckily, I am totally opposite.
