Air Serbia - Qatar Airways further expand codeshare

Air Serbia and Qatar Airways have recently further expanded their wide-ranging codeshare partnership to include new destinations. The Serbian carrier has placed its designator code and flight numbers onto its Qatari counterpart’s services from Doha to Auckland and Jeddah, growing its coverage to New Zealand and Saudi Arabia. The codeshare agreement between the two airlines is expected to be further expanded to include Bangkok, Cape Town, Johannesburg, Phuket, Seoul and Tokyo once all necessary government approvals are obtained.

Air Serbia marketed flights operated by Qatar Airways: Adelaide, Auckland, Baku, Belgrade, Brisbane, Doha, Ho Chi Minh City, Hong Kong, Jeddah, Male, Muscat, Melbourne, Nairobi, Perth, Seychelles, Singapore, Sydney, Tbilisi and Zanzibar.

Qatar Airways marketed flights operated by Air Serbia: Banja Luka, Bari, Bologna, Dusseldorf, Hanover, Ljubljana, Niš, Nuremberg, Podgorica, Sarajevo, Salzburg, Stuttgart, Tivat and Venice.

      Ljubljana is in this codeshare agreement for quite a while now. I still think that Qatar will eventually start flying there. There has been a few meetings between both goverments this and the past year so we will see.

      I just told you that carriers like FlyDubai and Turkish are doing very good numbers as transfer and P2P carriers so I am pretty sure it would be the same with Qatar

      People travel from Sydney with a transfer in Dubai literally every day. so obviously they can fly with a fuel stop in Singapore.

    so what is next step for Qatar Airways and Air Serbia maybe Qatar buying a stake in the AS while the price for the airline is so low or AS signing the partnership with Oneworld alliance in which QA is the prime member.AS can be great feeder for Oceanic flights via Doha.There can be lots of benefits to both airlines by strengthing relationship between each other.
