NEWS FLASH
Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport recorded its busiest July on record by handling 901.843 passengers, representing an increase of 26.5% on last year and growth of 22.7% on the pre-pandemic 2019. It registered an increase of 17% in commercial aircraft movements on 2022. During the January - July period, the airport welcomed 4.188.703 travellers through its doors, up 46.7% on last year and an increase of 25.1% on 2019. The airport has said it expects to handle well over seven million passengers this year.
Bravo BEG 🇷🇸🇷🇸🇷🇸
ReplyDeletePhenomenal result by BEG and they have all of our support!
ReplyDeleteMore importantly check this out:
BEG: 4.191.931
SOF: 4,102,203
To add more July comparisons:
DeleteBUD: 1 472 373
BEG: 905.000
-567.373
So basically ZAG was as far from BEG in July as BEG was from BUD. How things have changed in this dynamic business
Why is 2019 being compared to 2022 and not 2023?
ReplyDeleteHuh?
Deletemy mistake, missread chart.
DeleteI think BEG will handle 8m not over 7, but lets see
ReplyDeleteBEG has average growth per month 26% comparing to 2019. If continiue that means BEG is going to have 7,76m passengers this year. But hope to see over 8m!
DeleteAt the end of August BEG should be at over 5 million. Winter should be extremely strong so let's hope we keep growign over 20%
DeleteBut to reach over 8m they have to have average of 30% up for the whole year
DeleteMost likely this year won't reach 8 million unfortunately. 7,8 to 7,9 is likely.
DeleteThis winter will be very strong.
Well it all depends on JU's winter timetable. They already more than doubled FCO. I think there are going to be much more increases.
DeleteWow BEG!!!! Didnt expect that much! Well done!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteBEG just passed SKG.
ReplyDeleteBEG- 4.191.829
SKG- 3.872.359
BEG is leading for 319.470 passengers!
Belgrade will have at least 7.5 million passengers this year, jumping more than a million over previous record set in 2019.
ReplyDeleteI expect 950.000 in August.
ReplyDeleteBusiest month ever recorded by any airport in EX YU region.
ReplyDelete+1
DeleteThe airport in font is beautiful
DeleteActually that part of the airport is really nice. The other day I went to pick up a family member and I was really impressed. It looks modern, clean and very practical.
DeleteNow that works are nearly completed BEG will finally look more than decent.
Next year BEG will have at least two monthes with over milion passengers!
ReplyDeleteHope to see INI growing from next summer season when construcion is going to be finished.
Jan-Jul 2023 is not the best, they have reached only 260k
That is the best result Nis has ever had during that period.
DeleteWhat will be maximum capacity of INI once construction is finished?
DeleteAnon 22:34, do you think that INI can go over 422k from 2019?
DeleteUros, 1,5m will be capacity
For the first time ever, INI managed to handle over 50.000 passengers in a single month (July). Mind you this is despite losing Bergamo by Ryanair. In other words their season was primarily saved by JU which had quite a few charters this summer. I expect August to be as good.
DeleteAfter comparing Belgrade July results with SOF and BUD, why not with compare it with ZAG?
ReplyDeleteZAG Jul growth over 2019 was 0.9% (approx 3300 added passengers). BEG growth was 23.1% (approx 170.000 added passengers). That means for every single passenger ZAG added over Jul 2019, BEG added more than 50 passengers.
I believe you just answered your own question.
DeleteThere is lots of untapped growth in the Western Balkans and we have been witnesing that not just in BEG but also in TIA, SKP & PRN.
ReplyDeleteI am not surprised at all with such a growth in the region and I expect it to continue in the decade.
We are actualy seeing how underdeveloped this part of Europe has been - and now all of that latent potential will flourish especially if smart entrepreneurship prevails from incompetent political decissions.
Does anyone know how many passengers Belgrade had on its best day? THX!
