LOT eyes Podgorica winter flights

NEWS FLASH

LOT Polish Airlines is considering extending its seasonal flights between Warsaw and Podgorica into the winter months. The airline has expressed interest in serving the Montenegrin capital three times per week from the start of the winter season on October 29, until mid-January, after which flights would be suspended until early March. LOT last maintained year-round flights between the two capitals during the 2019/2020 season, until the onset of the coronavirus pandemic. A decision on the matter is expected soon.

But why, the load factor was amazing and many flights sold out? They should at least extend the service

17:31 Yes, that's right, but maybe most of passengers are from Poland( tourists)?

I travel between Sarajevo and Amsterdam (exclusively via Warsaw during summer, mostly through Vienna but also Belgrade in winter) every couple of weeks, indeed those LOT services are mostly packed to the brim but it’s mostly Polish tourists or diaspora traffic from ORD, Northern Europe (GOT amongst others, I’ve noticed) and so on, full planes don’t necessarily translate to high yields I’m afraid. I guess (merely a guess here) Podgorica can “offset” the drop of passenger’s numbers during winter month better than Sarajevo, not sure.

In addition full planes in summer do not translate to full planes in winter/
