Air Montenegro to wet-lease aircraft this winter

Air Montenegro has issued a public call for the submission of bids for the wet-lease of an aircraft for part of the 2023/24 winter season, as well as the entire 2024 summer season. The Montenegrin carrier plans to wet-lease either a CRJ900 or an Embraer E190 or E195 aircraft from January 1, 2024 until March 31, 2024, with delivery to take place by December 31, 2023. Furthermore, the carrier plans to wet-lease an E190 or E195 aircraft from April 1, 2024 until October 31, 2024. 

During part of this year’s summer season, Air Montenegro wet-leased an E190 jet from Ukraine’s Windrose Airlines. A wet-lease arrangement involves the lessor providing the aircraft, crew, maintenance and insurance for the aircraft for the duration of the contract. Air Montenegro owns two E195 aircraft. The Montenegrin government was recently blocked from acquiring a third jet of the same type for the flag carrier. The aircraft was previously operated by the now-defunct Montenegro Airlines. Montenegro's watchdog for the Protection of Property and Legal Interests said there was no legal basis for the aircraft’s acquisition from the Brazilian Development Bank. The Montenegrin carrier has an ongoing longer-term wet-lease in place for an Airbus A320 aircraft.

    Crj900 is surely for Tuzla? Would make it a perfect plane and if they wet lease ot they literally don't have any operational delays

      How did you get to that equation?

      Read the article. This winter they will wet lease a CRJ900 OR an E190/195 until March 31 when that wet lease ends then another wet lease will start for 1 E190/195.

      They have 2 E195s of their own.
