Condor will introduce a new service between Hamburg and Pristina on December 23. The flights will operate once per week, on Saturdays, with the 180-seat Airbus A320 aircraft. Tickets can only be purchased through local tour operators. Hamburg and Pristina are already linked through a one weekly Eurowings service. Further flight details can be found here. Pristina Airport broke its all-time passenger record this year, handling over three million passengers for the first time in its history earlier this month.

Bravo Air Prishtina.
ReplyDeleteAre they the bosses on this route?
DeleteNo it is part of the Lufthansa group
DeleteCondor is owned by british-german company. They're not subsidiary of Lufthansa Group.
DeleteAttestor Capital.
DeleteThe interesting thing is that the population continues to use these tour operators despite the uncertainty, but there you get a cheap ticket and more luggage than is allowed. People prefer GP and Trade over W6! I'm talking about BSL. Apparently, Kosovo "airlines" are more attractive than W6, U2, EW.
ReplyDeleteThat's not true. How did you come up with such conclusion - Wizz doesn't even fly to Basel or anywhere in CH from Pristina!
DeleteVIE-PRN is an example. It is the busiest route out of PRN and Wizz covers it almost all (Austrian is used mainly for connecting flights).
wrong the busiest are BAsel and Zürich. you cant deny its the only place in ExYu where such "airlines" with no websites exist that offer tickets on charters bought only in agencies and theres quiet a lot them
DeleteI didn't deny anything 😅 I simply gave an example in which Wizz operated "one" of the most succesful routes out or PRN. Hence, anybody saying that private airline arrangements are preferred in comparison to Wizz, is just not true.
DeleteMarket in CH is complex, but not the norm!
FYI: Tickets for 'family airlines' can be bough online as well, not only through phone or fax 😅 that's just ridiculous. Simply google Airprishtina and you can purchase available tickets just as you would through any standard airline website.
The fact that Wizz failed in PRN-BSL does say a lot to be fair
DeleteIt doesn't mean anything at all! Some routes work, some don't. No rocket science. It's free market. Get over it.
Deleteairprishtina = Chair is the only one with a functioning website
DeleteI know it's free market genius. But since the discussion was about what Kosovo gastos prefer, the fact that Wizz failed in the busiest route of PRN is a very clear indication in my opinion, I'm sorry if you fail to see that.
DeleteA clear indication of what? You extract only CH figures and try present is as a general pattern for the whole Kosovo market.
DeleteHow can you make such assumption about the whole market, simply because Wizz discontinued a route from Basel? Fact is, that last year Wizz Air with only 5-6 routes, was the busiest airline in PRN. So, what on earth are you on about? 😅
Wizz Air ended the route to Basel cause easyjet operates twice a day on the route plus other uknown carriers. Wizz Air was the busiest airline last year when we dont include the uknown carriers which operate cherter flights on and on. Also Memmingen - Pristina is the busiest route with 7 weekly flights. The fact that W6 ended the flights from Basel must not mean that it was bacause of competition or failier. They stoped the route from Ohrid as well and the flights were full. It is because the airline is going to ground 45+ A321neo jets next summer and now and they dont have fleet to operate those flights.
DeleteThe general pattern of Kosovo market is that it is mainly ruled by these charter agencies. Nothing wrong with that so not sure at all why you're so sensitive about it.
DeleteIf it were so normal it would be the case at least on one other market in Europe, which is not the case.
DeleteLet's face it, this does not exist anywhere else but in Kosovo. There is no other country where 50% of the market is held by virtual airlines. An interesting fact is that even W6, U2, EW failed to displace people from My Wings, Air Munich, flyPrishtina, Prishtinaticket.net, Kosova Airlines, Air Prishtina, AirTiketa, Pranvera, Reisebüro..... and so on.. .many businessmen
DeleteIs there a new player in the market? Am talking about a Tour Operator? Recent newcomers were GP Aviation, My Wings, ETF. No new stars lately.
Delete@18:54 i got sick from reading the names of those uknown carriers.
Delete@18:00 Again, not true. Charters comprise around 30% of the PRN market. Its Wizz and Easyjet that dominate the market, not the reverse as you claim.
DeleteDon't trust me, trust statistics:
https://www.exyuaviation.com/2023/01/wizz-air-overtakes-easyjet-to-become.html?m=1
As you can see that is for 2022. Lets face it, yesterday Wizzair had 3 flights to Pristina, Chair had four and Bulair had four. The day before yesterday was the same plus easyjet had three flights. Wait till the end of the year and you will see who is the busiest carrier.
DeleteUnlike you, I don't predict the upcoming annual turnout based on yesterdays flight schedule. Over and out.
DeleteWhat is Bulair?
DeleteCharter brand of Bulgaria Air
DeleteFlights are of GP Aviation, Bulgaria Aur flies on ACMI.
DeleteSo Condor is the new leader in line with the Croatians and the Swiss (GP Aviation and Trade Air).
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know on which website can we book those tickets ? It actually surprises me that this way of working is still on point nowadays, like who’s gonna call a number to book a flight ? And is there really a huge price difference ?
ReplyDeleteAlbanian grandpas and grandmas, easy as that
DeleteIts not a secret that is "seasonal" workers. Illegals go to work in germany and the employers who organize this do the booking logistics. Its thousands of people annually.
Deleteand Eurowings stops this route according their website
ReplyDeleteI can't this livery...
ReplyDeleteIt's awesome
DeleteIt’s dreadful. I flew on Condor’s 767 to Mombasa a few years back, and it still had the old livery, which I found quite nice. This one, on the other hand… 🤮
DeleteBravo PRN!
ReplyDeleteEurowings stops this route ... According to their website ... Probably they dont see potential , I dont understand what Condor sees in this route...
ReplyDeleteThey see potential
DeleteCondor didnt choose this route by themselves. They are chartered by a local agency, they dont sell tickets at all.
Deletesame for STR according their website
DeleteCondor operates with Air Prishtina, these flights (until recently operated with Eurowings). They are changing the operator. They did the same with some of the Enter Air flights. It is now run by a chairman.
DeleteChair* sorry
DeleteBut also Air Prishtina = Chair 😄
It will be interesting if Air Prishtina starts working with Condor. For example A320 in PRN (instead of Eurowings). I love this livery. So now 3 destinations are operating from Kosovo, hopefully more.
ReplyDeleteHey guys, let's make a list of airlines that have flown to PRN. Because it follows the market from 2010 and before. I remember many airlines. Over the years the most memorable for me are Germanwings/Eurowings, Germania, Orange2fly, Adria. These airlines had a base.
Air Mediterranean
DeleteETF Airways
Cobrex Trans
Aviro Air with Bae146 as Adria Fly
Fly365 Romania
ALK Airlines
XL Airways
Air Kosova
Bul Air
Smartlynx
2017:
DeleteSmall Planet
Electra Airways
You are forgetting the most important and good airline in my opinion - Belle Air.
DeleteBelle Air Europe
DeleteAir Malta with Prishtianjet mafia
DeleteBritish Airways
DeleteHoliday Jet ( Germania Flug)
Helvetik
Scandinavian Airlines
DeleteOU
DeleteCould someone from Kosovo please explain to me the price difference between flying for ex PRN-ZRH with these reisebüro airlines and the conventional airlines? What makes them so attractive for people to book? And is it common to have cancellations or schedule changes?
ReplyDeleteI frequently fly from STR to PRN, I had a better experience withe the Reisebüro airlines than Eurowings. First of all ,baggage is included in the price so you dont have to pay extra for that and second, on the charter flights the cabin crew speaks albanian and that makes it easier for many people. And the drinks and snacks on the plane are much cheaper, but I dont think thats a reason to book them :) You can also pay with cash for the plane ticket
DeleteAs the previous person said, they include luggage, they are cash friendly(especially since not all banks allow payments on the internet),if you book early enough you can(or at least could) get flights for 40-50 euros(which for a flight with included luggage is quite cheap),They also service some niche airports(nuremberg,Munster etc.)
