Condor will introduce a new service between Hamburg and Pristina on December 23. The flights will operate once per week, on Saturdays, with the 180-seat Airbus A320 aircraft. Tickets can only be purchased through local tour operators. Hamburg and Pristina are already linked through a one weekly Eurowings service. Further flight details can be found here. Pristina Airport broke its all-time passenger record this year, handling over three million passengers for the first time in its history earlier this month.

DeleteThe interesting thing is that the population continues to use these tour operators despite the uncertainty, but there you get a cheap ticket and more luggage than is allowed. People prefer GP and Trade over W6! I'm talking about BSL. Apparently, Kosovo "airlines" are more attractive than W6, U2, EW.

DeleteVIE-PRN is an example. It is the busiest route out of PRN and Wizz covers it almost all (Austrian is used mainly for connecting flights).
wrong the busiest are BAsel and Zürich. you cant deny its the only place in ExYu where such "airlines" with no websites exist that offer tickets on charters bought only in agencies and theres quiet a lot them
DeleteI didn't deny anything 😅 I simply gave an example in which Wizz operated "one" of the most succesful routes out or PRN. Hence, anybody saying that private airline arrangements are preferred in comparison to Wizz, is just not true.

FYI: Tickets for 'family airlines' can be bough online as well, not only through phone or fax 😅 that's just ridiculous. Simply google Airprishtina and you can purchase available tickets just as you would through any standard airline website.

Wizz Air ended the route to Basel cause easyjet operates twice a day on the route plus other uknown carriers. Wizz Air was the busiest airline last year when we dont include the uknown carriers which operate cherter flights on and on. Also Memmingen - Pristina is the busiest route with 7 weekly flights. The fact that W6 ended the flights from Basel must not mean that it was bacause of competition or failier. They stoped the route from Ohrid as well and the flights were full. It is because the airline is going to ground 45+ A321neo jets next summer and now and they dont have fleet to operate those flights.

As you can see that is for 2022. Lets face it, yesterday Wizzair had 3 flights to Pristina, Chair had four and Bulair had four. The day before yesterday was the same plus easyjet had three flights. Wait till the end of the year and you will see who is the busiest carrier.

DeleteCondor operates with Air Prishtina, these flights (until recently operated with Eurowings). They are changing the operator. They did the same with some of the Enter Air flights. It is now run by a chairman.

It will be interesting if Air Prishtina starts working with Condor. For example A320 in PRN (instead of Eurowings). I love this livery. So now 3 destinations are operating from Kosovo, hopefully more.

DeleteCould someone from Kosovo please explain to me the price difference between flying for ex PRN-ZRH with these reisebüro airlines and the conventional airlines? What makes them so attractive for people to book? And is it common to have cancellations or schedule changes?
ReplyDeleteI frequently fly from STR to PRN, I had a better experience withe the Reisebüro airlines than Eurowings. First of all ,baggage is included in the price so you dont have to pay extra for that and second, on the charter flights the cabin crew speaks albanian and that makes it easier for many people. And the drinks and snacks on the plane are much cheaper, but I dont think thats a reason to book them :) You can also pay with cash for the plane ticket
DeleteAs the previous person said, they include luggage, they are cash friendly(especially since not all banks allow payments on the internet),if you book early enough you can(or at least could) get flights for 40-50 euros(which for a flight with included luggage is quite cheap),They also service some niche airports(nuremberg,Munster etc.)
