Flydubai offering the same capacity as Brussels is really something

It just goes to show that Brussels as a destination isn’t that important as some claim it is.

BRU now is only p2p and other ex JP destinations.

BRU is an important destination for LJU which is very much underserved - this is the reason for bad figures.

Agree with Anon 14:20 - after all Wizzair dropped CRL, which means that there is not much demand. Besides BRU is probably because of the EU institutions, other than that, it is a boring city anyway.

Boring city?!!! My dear, you have obviously never been in Bruxelles or you had a very bad guide!
It's ethnically the most diverse city in Europe, and probably in top 3 in the world! Ritch cultural scene, thriving art scene, incredible history and the traditions, vibrant gay scene... Something for everyone!
Anyway, a city that can offer more than 1000 of the beers cannot be boring at all!

You are writing this as if it is something good! 😄
I'm sure we would all enjoy a walk around diverse Molenbeek. Not!

Nah. I'm good, not going there anytime soon.

This are good numbers for LJU, 2024 will for sure be even better. We only need CPH, PRG, SJJ, BER, MAD, BCN, MAN and VIE back and we will be just fine.

Good numbers for the FZ. The reason they are delayed and come late to LJU is the fact that the flight is over 6 hours. Same with QR, someday it will come too. It's just that the flight is far and it needs a good search.

Is the 6 hours due to crew rest time regulations? Does the same crew normally operate the flight in and outbound or do they rotate crew in Ljubljana?

I saw charters to Ponta Delgada and Horta (Azores). This is an interesting destination from LJU. What other destinations are planned for this winter besides Egypt? Will there be again to Zanzibar or some other far away destinations?

It would be nice to finally have Tenerife ... I do not understand why this destination is such a problem when having such popularity :/

The most far away charters will go to the Cabo Verde islands.

Good progress, finally. But (as said in article above) 2019 comparison is meaningless.

    OCT2018/OCT2023 : -26,4%
    2023 forecast: 1,25 mio pax
    2023 forecast/2018: -31%

If we don't count 2018 Balkan transfer passengers (who will never return):

    2023 forecast / 2018: -19%

Not so brilliant and much worse than other airports in the region.

It's okay, this is the right amount of traffic for the current staff capacity to handle. Can't work 13h/day and 56h/week all year long. It's okay to add traffic little by little, steadily. No rush decisions, Adria and its bad business moves were enough.

"No rush decisions..."... typical Fraport attitude... that explains everything.

I though LJU would perform much better than SJJ in October, but the numbers are still slightly lower.
