NEWS FLASH
Air Serbia will increase frequencies on flights from Belgrade to both Lisbon and Valencia next summer season. Starting March 31, the carrier will maintain operations to the Portuguese capital four times per week, up from two weekly last summer when they launched, and an increase on three weekly this winter season. Flights will be maintained on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, with two departures on Saturdays (leaving Belgrade in the early afternoons and in the evenings). Similarly, the carrier will boost operations to Valencia to four weekly rotations from May 1 next year. It represents an additional weekly flight on last summer, and up from two weekly this winter season. Services will be operated on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays, with exception to the first week of May when flights will run on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, with two departures on Sundays (leaving Belgrade in the mornings and afternoons). As previously reported, the airline will also increase frequencies to Barcelona from nine to twelve weekly starting in April, and to Palma de Mallorca from three to four weekly. Further network modifications are expected in the coming weeks. Changes remain possible.

ReplyDeleteFrom what I can see all flights are with A320 so that's good. They need to start ditching the A319 and to focus on E90/95 and A320.

LMAO, you probably never got stranded by AirSerbia & ignored for any of your basic needs as a passenger who got fucked over by the company. At least G7 countries' airlines sort the accomodation etc. in those cases and they pay out EU261 compensations unlike AirSerbia which takes 2 years to pay them lol

DeleteHaha, pa Jasmin cita i verujem da je vrhunski CEO i da bolje ne moze. Ali nema sta da mu odgovori. Kafa je dobra, marenda je tu, vikend iza coska, penzija i to ce doci... Ali ni da se zameri Jasminu, koji drzi kompaniju zivu, dok su mnoge u okruzenju propale. Pri tome to je EU, nekakva nemacka tvorevina, gde oni dominiraju i drugi rade za njih.

Please show a bit of respect, towards the people that are banding over their back to make things work and make stable and profitable airline. Is it really so difficult to understand that Jasmin is a personification of Croatia Airlines, which should have Air Serbia as its model and example. And for the second poster : Air Baltic, Aegean, TAP, and many others are proof that everything I am criticizing OU about is true, that growth and development are perfectly possible within EU, and without serving to Germany, and that your claims are all wrong. And just for the end, if you both have problems with comments coming from Croatia, let me remind you that this blog is called EX YU, and yes, I will continue to write it for centuries, or as long as something is changed

I always thought the OU would be the biggest airline in EX-YU - it should be.
OU has by far the biggest market in former Yugoslavia.
OU is in a country that has far better political and economic conditions, etc, than Serbia. Croatia has soo much better conditions to develop great long haul network than Serbia.
And what did OU do - nothing!
The main reason AirSerbia is doing better is better management.
Wow, it sounds weird when I write that a company owned by Serbia is doing better due to better management!
Very good move, both cities are pretty amazing. VLC is currently witnessing a boom similar to AGP.
ReplyDeleteMy guess is JU might consider ALC because it's smaller as a city, but has more tourism compared to VLC. And ALC is quite cheap especially places like Benidorm with very good weather even unti October. JU have seriously underestimated the Spanish market and they finally realised it after the huge success of BCN. That being said, BEG appears as a destination if you go to the LEVEL (IAG - Iberia) website offering connections via BCN, but no flights appear.
From now on, Spanish market must be their priority and to forget about Turkey or maintain current flights.

DeleteThe algarve is a major tourist destination for Europeans from many countries. There’s no reason demand couldn’t be stimulated.
Remember that flights to Spain didn’t exist for many of the last 10 years either and now they’re booming.
There are plenty of English people, just moved to live there, Albufeira with that beach , Germans with those VW vans, Berlin plates.

DeleteWell, Sevilla has stunning architecture and very Spanish. Valencia has a very different atmosphere. Typical Mediterranean, looks like Barcelona a bit but not that much. It also has its own metro and not a small city at all. You are comparing 2 very different cities in Spain. For JU, it makes more sense to have VLC because many Balkan and Eastern Europeans live there especially around Gandia. Plus, the airport can temporary act as a "substitute" for Alicante as the distance is not very far.

DeleteI think one problem they have with MAD is that it's too long to fit into regular waves. Plane utilization is more demanding than with places like BCN or VLC.

If JU were to deploy a thrice weekly red-eyt service to MJI with A330... pax and cargo... they'd be smiling all the way to the bank.... late night catchment from Europe and departure to Tripoli and early morning arrival for connections globally...
