NEWS FLASH
Air Serbia plans to utilise its wide-body Airbus A330-200 aircraft on flights between Belgrade and Zurich on two occasions this January during the holiday travel period. The carrier plans to utilise its 257-seat A330-200 jet (Nikola Tesla) on its evening Zurich flight on January 1 and the 268-seat aircraft of the same type (Pupin) on the evening service to the Swiss city on January 15. Equipment changes remain possible.
This winter the YU-ARB wasn’t deployed to SVO even though the loads were full. I assume it has something to do with insurance regulations.
ReplyDeleteI think they didn't want to risk delayes caused by sick minds reporting fake bombs.
DeleteThere was one to IST yesterday.
ReplyDeleteYesterday to IST - 188 PAX to IST, 67 back but full of cargo :-D
DeleteThey need A321 for those flights, all economy configuratio.
ReplyDeleteThey already have got quite a zoo of aircraft, they don’t need more. Replacing all A319 with A320 probably would provide enough capacity, and improve fleet commonality as a bonus.
DeleteA319/320/321 are same type regarding pilot's operation, maintenance, airport handling, etc...
DeleteAgree. All economy configuration? Ever seen European business class (excluding SU and TK)? Lol
DeleteDoes this mean that the A330 has to uses a different gate than is otherwise normally used?
ReplyDeleteIt's not that it has to but more of that it can. Since the flight to ZRH does NOT require additional security check, they can use any of the 2 C gates. Btw, I really like your question..
DeleteThanks for the reply. Forget to use my nick name last time.
DeleteAny idea if JU would have to change gates at ZRH?
Do you think it’s because of a fleet problem ?
ReplyDeleteNo, it is because of demand. They do this every year on the Zurich route due to the massive diaspora. Same as around Easter.
