NEWS FLASH
Qatar Airways will increase operations on its seasonal Sarajevo service next summer. The Doha-based carrier will restore flights to Bosnia and Herzegovina’s capital on June 1 with five weekly rotations, up from four weekly in 2023. Frequencies will increase to daily in August, up from five weekly in 2023, while the carrier will continue to maintain operations throughout September up until September 29 with five weekly rotations during the month, up from the total of eight flights operated for the whole of September 2023 when services ended on September 10.
I find it interesting they don't want to return this route to year-round
ReplyDeleteI think it's because of fog that happens mostly in January.
DeleteI highly doubt that
DeleteI also think that there isn't as much demand from the Gulf during the winter period.
DeleteGood news!
ReplyDeleteSarajevo will be on fire this summer. Swiss is increasing Sarajevo to daily as well. Good job.

Delete2 million pax at SJJ by 2025 appears quite possible, given the influx of new flights/lines next year. If the situation stays stable, there's no reason why the numbers at SJJ wouldn't surge in the next year or two. However, this success may pose a new challenge as the new terminal was specifically constructed to accommodate only 2 million passengers.
ReplyDeleteAlso, ZAG stays at 10 flights pw to Doha during summer, just like in winter. Pretty good!
ReplyDeleteAnd they tried to stop Josh Cahill and his video about Qatar A decline in services. *easy to find on youtube
ReplyDeleteJosh Cahill is insufferable. If I ran and airline I’d ban him too.
