Mostar Airport sees busiest January in over a decade

NEWS FLASH

Mostar Airport registered its busiest start to the year by handling 778 passengers during the first month. It marks its best January in more than ten years and a notable improvement on the five travellers handled in 2023, and six in 2022. The airport is currently served by Croatia Airlines from Zagreb, with Air Serbia to commence operations from Belgrade in April, while SkyAlps will launch flights from Verona and Munich in late April, as well as Rome in early May. All scheduled flights maintained out of Mostar are currently subsidised by local authorities.

It is not true. Subsides are based on load factor

Does OU fly 3 times per week? if so, that is about 70 passengers per flight. Not bad for a Q400 service.

I wonder how they count it? Are handled passengers only the departing ones or both arrival and departing? Cuz if both that would mean 35 pax and not 70 on avarage which is a sad load factor. I heard from a frequent flyer that that the flights are usually quite empty but idk?

    3. There were a total of 26 Croatia Airlines flights in January (arrivals and departures included) with 1,976 seats on offer. However, keep in mind that Mostar's figure includes private flights as well.

Makes sense, and even if all of the passengers would have been OU ones, a load factor of 39% on an already small aircraft is pathetic ngl.

Very Glad to see, When I worked for JAT I advertised that the airport was close to Medjugorje for the Pilgrims, for flights from Zag, Beg and LHR and. Filled them up, but they don’t seem to be doing that, and Medjugorje has not moved and has become more popular
