NEWS FLASH
Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport handled 86.181 passengers in February, representing an increase of 32.8% on the same month last year. Aircraft movements stood at 1.922, up 34.7% on 2023. Notably, the figures are an improvement on the traditionally busier January. However, the airport still saw a 18.3% decline on the pre-pandemic February of 2019 when Adria Airways was still in operation. During the first two months of the year, Ljubljana Airport welcomed 161.377 travellers through its doors, up 31.4% year-on-year, and down 22.8% on 2019.

FlyDubai going wild!
ReplyDeleteLots of Austrians on board
Delete56.804 pax in 2023. Zagreb had 62.755.
DeleteFlydubai capacity is astonishing
ReplyDeleteAn unexpected blessing for LJU
DeleteSome smart people have said here that this route is complete nonsense.
DeleteAnd they still say Qatar wouldn’t work
DeleteIn my opinion FlyDubai should cancel LJU and move flights to ZAG because most passengers are Croats who love to travel.
DeleteWhy do people post these steps comments, I just don't get it. What joy do you get out of trolling?
DeleteRegardless of the topic, it's so odd to see a forum about aviation for aviation enthusiasts have so much negativity towards aviation in their region, it's honestly repulsive
Deletebut its going down to 4weekly in summer season
DeleteYes, Dubai-Slovenia is a winter route. Dubai offers a pleasantly warm climate for Slovenian tourists while Emirati tourists, used to seeing only sand and heat, get to enjoy natural greenery and sometimes snow or skiing. During the summer, Dubai is hellishly hot
DeleteLufthansa about to fall behind Swiss lol
ReplyDelete3rd dail to Frankfurt with CRJ1000 and 2nd daily flight to Munich with A319
DeleteHaha Lufthansa fallling behind Swiss!-- Swiss IS Lufthansa :D
DeleteNevertheless, LX numbers are impressive, almost the same as LH FRA and MUC combined.
DeleteSo this shows that 2024 will be over 1.5M?
ReplyDeleteIf they will grow average 30 % per month like past 2 month are, then I think it will be 1,65M.
DeleteLet's not forget that Norwegian and AirBaltic are year around from next month, Athens too and most probably Helsinki too
DeleteThere is no news about Helsinki being year round
DeleteMany foreigners living in Dubai (UK, USA, Australia etc ) are making breaks in Slovenia. One example: yoga retreats in Slovenia, marketing in Dubai only, where all participants are foreigners, yoga teachers included. They are staying in expensive accomodations in rural Slovenia. Prices are very high. All the income is for foreigners, including ownership of accomodation maybe.
ReplyDeleteAlso FlyDubai is great for carrying transfers with Emirates. The plane arrives in Ljubljana at a very good time (around 1 or 2 PM)
DeleteWhy are AirFrance numbers so low?
ReplyDeleteKLM-AF group gave up on Lju, AF will be the only airline reducing flights this year compared to last year.
DeleteBut transavia will increase them… so same frequency more capacity
DeleteAF found out that low connectivity doesn’t mean opportunity every time. There is a reason for that. BT will see it too.
DeleteEvery airline will see it as LJU has zero demand.
DeleteWhy FlyDubai flew 11 weekly flights during some weeks in February, I'd assume?
DeleteVerjetno zimske počitnice Slovencev.
