NEWS FLASH
Ryanair is further expanding its Zadar operations this summer with the introduction of a seasonal service between Katowice and the Croatian coastal city. The flights will launch on April 17 and initially run once per week before increasing to three weekly from May 6. Further details can be viewed here. It will complement the five new routes previously announced by the budget carrier from Zadar. Ryanair will have a capacity share of a whopping 82.8% at Zadar Airport for the duration of the summer season. It will serve a total of 51 destinations.

DeleteSocialism has long since fallen, it's a market economy, I can't understand what's the point of supporting the ideas of a planned economy and fully state-owned enterprises as leaders, after all, this is the market today - survival of the fittest. We always hear questions like "Why don't we have a strong national airline? Why don't we have a strong charter airline?". Well, everything is in the hands of OU, Trade Air, ETF, Sundair.
DeleteIt is naive thinking that governments do not influence economy in developed world....look at how Canada protects Air Canada or how Walmart (1.2 million employees) pays 0 taxes in USA and their full time workers are getting government subsidies for food (food stamps) as they are paid minimum wage....or how EU administration dictates agriculture production and market share with big fishies eating small ones in a name of "fair market competition"....BS. If small countries do not protect themselves , their market and workers, they will be eaten.
DeleteYour comment has too many errors. Walmart pays hundreds of millions in taxes to the US federal government in sales tax alone. The EU does not "dictate" market share, it allows for and provides extraordinary amounts of money to farmers no matter how small they are, to help them survive in a world where they otherwise wouldn't be able to without subsidies. Look at how angry UK farmers are now that farming is no longer supported by the EU after Brexit.

DeleteThe demand is huge regardless of the subsidies. Add them up and they're making crazy cash with ZAD.
