Air Serbia yesterday welcomed its eighth ATR72-600 turboprop aircraft in Belgrade. The jet, registered YU-ASF, is nine years old and was previously operated by Brazil’s Azul Airlines. “Our eighth ATR72-600 has just landed at Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport. Its arrival represents a step forward in our continuous efforts to improve our regional fleet and network of destinations. With the introduction of this aircraft into service, we will contribute to even better connectivity between the countries in the Western Balkans region, providing passengers with more opportunities for fast and comfortable travel”, Air Serbia’s Chief Operations Officer, Milan MaloviΔ, said. As previously reported, the airline is due to take the delivery of another two ATR72-600s this summer for a total of ten.
Just perfect for their regional network. Great job Air Serbia!

DeleteYour idea is very good for Burgas. The airport is currently working on attracting new year-round flights, as is Plovdiv Airport. So PDV and BOJ would be good additions with lots of transfers.

Deletegreat news for JU. would have been better that all 10 were ready and flying before the summer season starts of course, but not JU hopefully will use them to increase regional frequency which will be great to support the long haul routes moving BEG towards being a real hub that its aiming to be.

Will there be a chance for introduction of at least two daily services per week to Banja Luka? Current schedule is pretty much useless for the majority of passengers, p2p or transfer ...
ReplyDeleteYou realize this route was established due to political and not economic reasons? Due to its size, BNX will never have double-daily to any destination.
DeleteIt is not a question of "any" destination but Belgrade only. I am often travelling from BL to BG by car and always meet people from BL on the road (i know them personally, because we do not have car plates showing the origin), as well as many BG registered cars. I finish my job in couple of hours and go back. Return flight would be more efficient and even cheaper option (for one passenger, and even two would do) ...

Good morning friends. I know we don't speak a lot about cargo but it seems BEG is getting extra cargo capacity these days. DHL upgraded BEG from B738 to B752, Swiftair introduced LJU-BEG in addition to ZAG-BEG, TK started sending A332 instead of A310 and the other day we even got an IL76 to Saudi Arabia and two flights by Ethiopian Airlines that flew to Kinshasa.
