Dubrovnik Airport targets new winter flights

NEWS FLASH

Dubrovnik Airport aims to expand its offer of winter flights during the 2024/25 season and is working with airlines to provide additional connectivity outside of the busy summer months. Speaking at the recent ACI Europe 15th Regional Airports Conference, which was held in the coastal city, the airport’s Assistant Director General, Maro Lukšić, said, “To extend the season into winter, we are now coordinating with all local and national stakeholders, involving representatives of tourism boards, airlines, hotels, transport, restaurants and even cafés. Dubrovnik Airport is taking the lead in this effort to represent Dubrovnik as a region but also as a community. We want the people of Dubrovnik to be able to reach destinations without having to go through hub airports and for there to be accommodation, food and attractions to enjoy for tourists when they arrive in the shoulder season. We have defined goals in this regard, and we are methodically achieving them". Ryanair plans to maintain at least three routes out of Dubrovnik this coming winter, while Croatia Airlines has expressed its desire to introduce additional flights from the city during the winter months, complementing Frankfurt and Zagreb.

It would be nice if Air Serbia introduced at least 2 pw flights with ATR to Dubrovnik and Split during winter... That much demand should be there...

Maybe 1 weekly flight from BEG to DBV could work in winter, only because of proximity of Trebinje.
