      It looks to me that the demand was lower. Air Serbia load factor seems lower than previous month.

      It would be even better of their pricing department wasn't going wild with the fare structure.

    Pretty decent considering the cuts. May figures will also be interesting to see.

    So Air Serbia's share is about 45% in BEG ??

      And if I may add the Air serbia's load factor if we exclude Nis and Krajevo , must be around 70% from BEG .

      I flew VIE-BEG yesterday on the A320 and it was about 80% full. Like I already wrote before, others will profit from this situation at JU.

      JU to LCA was fully booked because Bosnalijek had a group of doctors on it. JU definitely needs more A320s.

      I don't know what you expected when Wizz Air cut half of its frequencies due to engine issues and Air Serbia had to cut routes due to 5 fewer aircraft than planned. In fact there was an article here saying exactly something along the lines that April growth will be 5-8%

      Especially since AirSerbia saw massive expansion exactly one year ago. To maintain that 20-30% grows AirSerbia should have made massive expansion this month again, which is not sustainable.

      It is brilliant. For comparison with 2nd busiest airport in the region, BEG added 327k passengers this year by growing 17.3% YoY while ZAG added 148k passengers in 2024 by growing 14.6% YoY. Belgrade is still increasing the gap by adding more than two passengers for each passenger Zagreb is adding.

      Outlook for May/June is mostly flat but keep in mind another batch of planes are arriving to Air Serbia in the next two months to sustain growth.

      @Anonymous21:22

      There's only so much growth a small country can generate, the fact Air Serbia expanded like crazy in 2023 and will perhaps expand in 2024 and who knows in 2025, sure there'll be a growth, Belgrade might even hit that 15 million mark by 2030, but that being said, a growth that is artificially maintained and public money pumped in to an airline that generates huge amount of debt can only last for so long. As soon as money start flowing from the state coffers in to an airline that can't expand beyond its national borders , everything will collapse. I imagine as soon as Vuicic is out of power, be it in 2030 or sooner, perhaps Milosevic style, Serbian taxpayers will demand accountability and new democratically elected government would be less keen to maintain old arrangements and keep pumping money in to dead horse.

      Pumping public money, artificially maintained growth, everything will collapse? There is only one website in the whole world using those exact terms. Everyone knows who is behind it. More importantly, no one cares about those sick fantasies of Air Serbia crashing down.

      The mental gymnastics here are crazy. Air Serbia has its share of issues, but calling it a dead horse?

    People got used to 20% growth every month. For European standards, a 5% growth is actually excellent.

    I expect May to be better though due to May day and Easter holidays

      If BEG doesnt add any passengers for the rest of the year, it will have 7.946 (2023 result)+0.327 (gained so far)=8.27 million passengers for 2024, a new record.
