Flydubai numbers are astonishing.
ReplyDeleteQatar really should be flying there for a few years now. Any idea why they don't?
Lack of aircraft?
Lack of interest.
DeletePeople said there was a lack of interest for Dubai as well. Meanwhile Flydubai operates 7-11 weekly flights for the entirety of winter
DeleteBravo Fraport!
ReplyDeleteOh, impressive. It's just heartwarming to see what a spectacular nosedive this airport managed to take in the last two decades.
ReplyDeleteNot as spectacular as seeing people crying about a 25% annual growth in PAX numbers lol
Delete25% more than miserable traffic is still miserable traffic.
DeleteAnd do you expect it to grow 200% per year or something?
DeleteI would expect the traffic to reach at least 2018 levels this year in terms of passengers, weekly frequencies and schedule.
DeleteTo pričakujete že 4 leta, in boste pričakovali še naprej. Predvsem pa urnika in frekvenc, ki jih je imela Adria verjetno nikoli ne boste dočakali. Oglej si jutranji vozni red letališča Ljubljana.
DeleteTransavia numbers are astounding lol. Is Slovenia the only country in Europe where the biggest LCC isn't one of the big 3?
ReplyDeleteMuch much better than big 3.
DeleteOh absolutely. And Transavia offers transfers with KLM and Air France, which is great.
DeleteAnd that's it folks, SJJ passed LJU and will stay like that until EOY.
ReplyDeleteSo what?
DeleteYes, exactly, so what.
DeleteWhy is there so much competition who does better? I wish LJU and SJJ all the best.
DeleteSome people here cannot accept the fact that different airports develop differently depending on the socioeconomic and geopolitical situation, thinking that LJU/Slovenia is now worse off than SJJ/Bosnia just judging by passenger numbers.
DeleteAlso worth noting, LJU has dumped far less on subsidies than Sarajevo has. Think LJU burned through 2-3 mil for the public calls, SJJ has almost doubled that
DeleteSarajevo has invested 1.2M euros in all 3 public calls so far which covers everything until November
DeleteBut the interesting part is, that in this case, private airport owner is riding on direct state subsidies, eventhough they are presented as subs to airliners…
ReplyDeleteYes, it seems they (airports) lobby well at European Commission, as all other types of subsidies other than subsidizing airport charges are not allowed in EU.
