NEWS FLASH
LOT Polish Airlines has cancelled plans to commence seasonal summer flights from Radom Airport near Warsaw to both Podgorica and Ohrid. Services were scheduled and put on sale last November. They were to commence in late June and were to run until late September, once per week, with Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
Why did they cancel it?
ReplyDeleteCause no one's going to that airport.
DeleteIt's a random airport an hour away from Warsaw, people would rather just fly from Chopin. Radom is quite alike Maribor.
DeleteThey should really name it Random.
DeleteWill LOT remain to operate WAW-OHD this summer or not?
ReplyDeletethey only cancel RADOM not WAW (Chopin) flights
DeleteNo. No flights were planned this summer from Warsaw. The only flights to Ohrid are from Katowice.
DeleteOhrid is generally not really performing well as an airport. Barely any new additions or traffic since Covid. Also Tirana now is the biggest hit, lets not fool outselves. JU will somehow manage to bring some tourists to Ohrid in summer from elsewhere. Additionally, Radom is not an airport really liked by Poles a they already have Chopin and Modlin and it´s too far and isolated from the capital.
ReplyDeleteBut will they operate RDO-Preveza in Greece? Because if they do that doesn’t make sense
ReplyDeleteWhy wouldn't it make sense?
