NEWS FLASH
Greece’s Aegean Airlines resumed nonstop flights between Athens and Sarajevo, marking the route’s return after five years. Services will be maintained twice per week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, on a seasonal summer basis until late September. Aegean last maintained nonstop operations between the two cities in 2019. The route was discontinued prior to the coronavirus pandemic. Last year, Aegean introduced Athens - Skopje - Sarajevo flights with fifth freedom rights between Skopje and Sarajevo. However, the service is not convenient for passengers from Sarajevo heading to Athens with an over six-hour wait in Skopje.
Hope they will eventually go year-round.
