Sun d’Or upgrades Belgrade service

NEWS FLASH

El Al’s leisure subsidiary Sun d’Or is upgrading its new service between Tel Aviv and Belgrade in the lead-up to its launch on July 11. The carrier has now extended flights on the route throughout the entire 2024/25 winter season and will also increase frequencies between the two cities from this summer’s two weekly rotations to three weekly in the winter, operating on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays. During talks with the Serbian Ambassador to Israel last week, Jael Kalif, the Deputy Chief Commercial Officer at Sun d’Or, and Maya Ashkenazy, Sun d’Or’s Marketing Manager, said they anticipate for Belgrade to be in high demand this summer for tourists from Tel Aviv. According to the pair, Belgrade has become a popular city break destination in Israel and there is now increasing demand for holidays to other parts of Serbia, particularly for the Uvac Lake and Tara National Park, as well as the Kopaonik Mountain.

Because there is currently no demand other than outbound Israeli tourists which are handled by Arkia and soon Sun d'Or since most tickets are sold through local Israeli tour operators..

And because insurance is extremely expensive for JU planes in order to fly to security critical region
