NEWS FLASH
The Czech investment company Hartenberg Holding, co-founded by former Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš, has become the sole owner of the aircraft maintenance company Adria Tehnika. Hartenberg Holding has been the sole owner of Adria Tehnika since mid-June, taking over the ownership from Avia Prime, a Polish company in which Hartenberg holds a 72% stake. The ownership change has resulted in changes to the management, as Deputy CEO, Barbara Perko Brvar, will be appointed new CEO of Adria Tehnika. The management board will also feature Pavel Prhavc, Jozef Janov and Dejan Kostić. The change in the ownership structure will enable Adria Tehnika “greater flexibility and resilience in the highly competitive market”, the company said. "The company is keeping its headquarters and all business functions in Slovenia and is not only keeping jobs but also looking for new employees as it expands its business", Adria Tehnika added. The maintenance company counts 256 employees and has long-term contracts with easyJet, Swiss, Air France, Lufthansa, and several other carriers. It will operate at near full capacity for the remainder of 2024. So far this year, business has grown 10%. Adria Tehnika plans to build a new hangar as part of its business development between 2025 and 2030. Hartenberg Holding is owned by a private fund founded by Jozef Janov and former Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš. It has invested in pharmaceuticals, real estate, aviation, and retail in Central Europe, including several real estate projects in Ljubljana.
They've been having a lot of business as of late. Saw aircraft from Libya, Switzerland, Armenia and Poland last time I was there
ReplyDeleteAny news about that widebody hangar?

DeleteThey're still in the process of planning. Think it's projected to be finished in 2-3 years
DeleteCSA needs to launch PRG flights
ReplyDeleteNo need for that, we have FRA.
Deletehm, CSA went bust just a couple days ago...after 101 years of existence....
DeleteAnd AirBerlin to Berlin and PanAm to New York would be best.
DeleteAdria was only good money income for AviaPrime, this move is basically a suicide for them. JATT and Linetech combined are not even near of Adria revenue.
ReplyDeleteThis is a same company, Aviaprime is part of Babis bigger company.they just wanna work indipendetly. Also, the are not dedicated to aviation, its investment fund, so, broken on parts is easier to be sold, peace by peace
ReplyDeleteSorry to ask but was this part of JAT Tehnika before 1991 or did JU only perform maintenance in BEG? When did JAT stop doing maintenance in LJU and ZAG, ie was it before 1991? I know that JAT provided technical support to JP when it was founded.
ReplyDeleteAdria Tehnika was never part of JAT Tehnika. It was Maintenance and Engineering division of Adria Airways and in 2010 it was reorganized as separate legal entity as ADRIA AIRWAYS TEHNIKA, subsidiary of ADRIA AIRWAYS. In 2011 Adria Airways »sold« Tehnika to government to cover depts to PETROL and Aerodrom Ljubljana for fuel and handling charges. In 2015 government sold it to polish maintenance provider Linetech later part of Aviaprime holding.
DeleteBut before the war, LJU and ZAG were JAT hubs. Are you saying JAT had no hangers in LJU and did no maintenance there? I thought Adria did maintenance in Maribor before 1991.
DeleteJAT did not have any hangers in LJU and they were doing only line maintenance for JAT aircraft. There was no maintenance ever done in Maribor.
DeleteWhat about ZAG? Did JAT have a hangar there?
ReplyDeleteDon't think so, except maybe one smaller hangar that was left from PanAdria /TransAdria
