Sarajevo Airport registers busiest June

NEWS FLASH


Sarajevo Airport welcomed 202.515 passengers through its doors last month, marking its busiest June to date. The figure represents an increase of 51.2% on the same month last year. During the month, Sarajevo saw a flurry of new routes launch including Aegean Airlines from Athens, Pegasus Airlines from Antalya, Flyadeal from Jeddah, Air Arabia from Sharjah, and SAS Scandinavian Airlines from Copenhagen. Over the first half of the year, Sarajevo Airport handled 722.981 travellers, up 34.9% on the same period in 2023, representing an additional 187.240 passengers.

      Zadar is currently below Sarajevo due to its seasonality, it will come close but will hardly surpass Sarajevo in 2024. SJJ will also finish ahead of TGD
