NEWS FLASH

LOT Polish Airlines will extend operations on its Warsaw - Sarajevo service throughout most of the upcoming 2024/25 winter season, which begins on October 27. As previously reported, the carrier initially planned to maintain its seasonal operations to Bosnia and Herzegovina’s capital until November 28. However, it now plans to run flights until January 11, 2025. Flights will then resume on February 22. The Polish flag carrier will maintain three weekly rotations between the two cities over the winter period. It will deploy a mix of the 82-seat Embraer E175 and the 112-seat E195 aircraft on the route, with the latter currently scheduled on 60% of flights over the winter, although changes remain possible.

LOT should clearly consider flights between Mostar and Warsaw-Chopin as well. A mixture of religious tourists (Međugorje pilgrims) and transfer passengers from other airports would make the route work fine 2-3 times weekly.
