Pegasus Airlines to boost Sarajevo, Skopje service

NEWS FLASH

Turkey’s Pegasus Airlines will increase frequencies on its flights from Istanbul’s Sabiha Gokcen Airport to both Sarajevo and Skopje this coming winter season.

The carrier will maintain double daily flights between Istanbul and Bosnia and Herzegovina’s capital from October 27, up from the initially planned, as well as last year’s, eleven weekly rotations. They will complement the two weekly flights from Antalya to Sarajevo for a total of sixteen weekly Pegasus Airlines flights over the winter period.

Similarly, in Skopje, Pegasus Airlines will maintain eleven weekly flights from Istanbul starting October 27, up from both the initially planned, as well as last year’s, eight weekly rotations. This will be complemented by three weekly flights from Izmir and two weekly from Antalya for a total of sixteen weekly Pegasus Airlines operations over the winter period.

If there's demand, it's not comedy but rational business decision...

Why do people think airlines can make money selling loads of seats for €30, they are businesses not charities.

I just recently bought tickets SJJ-SAW return for 54 euros (of course the lowest type of ticket without cabin baggage)

How is Pegasus even remotely close to Turkish? They do promotions twice each month and it's quite easy to buy return tickets to Antalya for 80€ and to Istanbul for 50-60 if you book 2-3 months in advance. Such tickets are much more expensive with Turkish.

3 weekly flights to Izmir from Skopje and 2 weekly flights to Antalya. SKP really suffers from the plane shortage Wizz has at the moment. BCN can be easily launched atleast 2 weekly(It's not gonna be a cashflow as the gastarbeiter routes but they will make a little profit. But with the plane shortages I don't see that happen soon.

With this increase of Pegasus and the three weekly flights of AJet on the same route this winter, it comes to an additional 12.5k seats on sale per month this winter, not including the 8 weekly of Pegasus to SAW which were previously planned.

I check Wizz new schedule and they return Rome Fiumicino from SKP from 26th Octomber , and as they get new planes they recover the routes.
Turkish cuts flights for the same problem in all Ex yu airports... it is not inly SKP effected ... SKP biggest problem is they relay only on one airline and that is Wizz. Btw SKP numbers in July are pretty good , we all hope next year finally ti be without problems.

Flew Skopje-Nyo yesterday while Pegasus, Turkish, Wizz to Malmo & Bratislava were boarding. I know its high season but it looked like every plane was overcrowded, around 200-210 people on every gate. And at the last minute they cancelled the Malmo flight at the gate when the plane was there and people were standing to get in.. Wizz is a joke

Just because a flight got canceled doesnt mean that it is the fault of the airline. You cant wait for something bad to happen so that u comment like this. All of the flights with that aircraft were delayed that day. Maybe something happend with the jet, there are many reasons for a flight to get canceled. Its not like Wizz Air wants to spend additional money to operate that flight with another jet the next day.

Also no other carriers are decreasing the flights to SKP this winter compared to last. Turkish plans 14 weekly flights like last winter, Aegean plans three from Athens and two to SJJ, Croatia is even increasing the flights to SKP this winter to 11 weekly same with JU 11 weekly, OS and LH will oeprate the same number of flights, LOT will operate three times per week with E195 instead of E170s like last winter, Chair will maintain daily to Zurich and Edelweiss will also increase their flights to SKP from three to four and five weekly. The only route which we wont see this winter is Geneva by easyJet as well as CPH, NYO and BRE by Wizz Air, which are likely to return even in early January and for sure as of next March. Additionaly, this winter we will have four weekly to Antalya since Pegasus will keep the route together with SunExpress, same is with Izmir. This winter will not be as good as the last one for SKP airport but the untruthful info that u are writing here is making me crazy. One thing happens, and suddenly we start to spit on everything. Makedonska rabota ti se vika toa.
