Split Airport registers busiest month on record

NEWS FLASH

Split St Jerome Airport registered its busiest month ever this July by handling 770.502 passengers. As the busiest airport in Croatia during the month, the figure represents an increase of 3.5% on July 2023. The result was achieved despite a ransomware hacking attack on the airport’s check-in software, causing days of delays and, in some instances, flight cancellations. During the month, easyJet was the largest airline in Split based on available seat capacity, with a share of 21.6%. It was followed by Croatia Airlines with an 11.6% share, and SAS Scandinavian Airlines with 10.2% of available seat capacity. During the January - July period, the airport welcomed 1.961.369 travellers through its doors, up 7.8% or an additional 142.466 passengers.

    OU's share is extremely pathetic

To be honest it is. Especially considering SAS has almost the same share!

...and that they shifted their focus from ZAG to SPU.

OU is good company. It can be much better but it is fine, decent.

No. OU is a useless company which is being pushed out of all markets

How are they fine? Based on what exactly? Their losses? Shrinking marketshare in ZAG? Modest network?

Outbursts against OU go on. SPU attracts carriers from all over Europe, it is crazy to expect OU with a small fleet to gain a larger market share at this point. Also, what kind of real aviation enthusiast would ever spill so much hatred against ANY carrier??? Maybe, fake trolls...

No, people who actually think Croatia deserves better than Croatia Airlines. Unlike you who doesn't realize that your patriotism in defending an airline that has been producing losses, with miniscule network from its hub and a politically appointed management is completely misplaced. If you were a true patriot you would not be supporting this airline that has failed and disapointed time after time.

@11:54 No one can grow market share with a small fleet obviously. That's why it needs more aircraft. Has this not crossed your mind?

It obviously has not crossed the management's mind for many many years.
