LOT jet grounded in Podgorica over family dispute

NEWS FLASH

A LOT Polish Airlines Embraer E195 aircraft was grounded in Podgorica for several hours yesterday after a false bomb threat was made in an apparent family dispute. Flight LO585 from Warsaw to Podgorica on Thursday afternoon was made aware of a bomb threat onboard while passing through Hungarian airspace. The aircraft landed safely in the Montenegrin capital, after which it was parked at a remote stand away from the terminal and thoroughly searched. After it was determined there were no explosive devices, the aircraft was able to perform its return service to Warsaw, albeit with a three-hour delay. A Polish citizen informed authorities that her husband, traveling on the Podgorica service, was carrying a bomb. It later appeared the false claim was made as an act of revenge after the individual in question refused to take the flight with her husband in what appears to be a family dispute.

Might be the cause but not a valid excuse. Bomb threats against 80 people are not the solution to adultery

interestingly the company will lose no money on it, the plane landed where it should and the delay on the return flight was still u nder 4 hours
