Ryanair to grow Sarajevo operations in summer

NEWS FLASH

Ryanair plans to increase frequencies on its flights to Sarajevo during the 2025 summer season, which begins on March 30 of next year. The carrier will double frequencies on its services from both Bergamo and Charleroi from two to four weekly, while flights from Memmingen will increase from two to three weekly. Operations from both Gothenburg and Thessaloniki will remain unchanged at two weekly rotations, although seasonal summer flights from the latter will resume at the very start of the summer, on March 31. The carrier's London Stansted - Sarajevo service will be kept at three weekly. Changes remain possible.

I wonder if they’ll add any new routes as well. Would be interesting to see if there willing to go head to head with Austrian to Vienna. Amsterdam, Paris and Dublin would be nice to see.

I believe BVA is something that could potentially work out. SJJ had this route before and it had a solid LF in the midst of COVID pandemic.

Instead of VIE, i would rather prefer PRG as this route has a potential to be maintained year-round. Seasonal route that could also work is GVA.

AMS could work *only* if it is operated by KLM or Transavia (and just as I would hope for that to happen, i dont see it for the time being). Dublin would be nice tho, I would rather prefer VLC or MLA

Transavia has applied to the current call ending on 1st of October, we just don't know for which destination. The airport was pushing Rotterdam and Eindhoven over AMS because of slots.

Ireland will open an embassy in Sarajevo (same in Belgrade) and since the visas are free for Bosnian citizens (only required for registering due to the common travel area between them and the UK), Dublin would be a feasible line since it already has many passengers with layovers in London.

BSL/MLH would work and same applies to PRG and KRK, they'd easily perform well year-round with demand from both sides.

MAD is something they're chasing as well, Volotea didn't respond to the public call yet but Iberia will likely launch some more test flights as they will to TGD.
