Globe Air Cargo has inked a General Sales Agent (GSA) agreement for Air Serbia’s cargo operations across the US. Under the deal, Globe Air Cargo will manage sales and marketing for Air Serbia, offering sixty tons of weekly air cargo capacity on five Airbus A330-200 flights between New York, Chicago and Belgrade. This expanded service provides connections to European destinations, including Sarajevo, Podgorica, Tirana, Skopje, Zurich and Istanbul. The partnership will also leverage a Road Feeder Service (RFS) network across the US, connecting Air Serbia’s stations at New York and Chicago to ensure transfers to Eastern Europe and elsewhere.
The Managing Director of Globe Air Cargo USA, Francisco Hernandez, said, “This partnership is a pivotal step in strengthening our presence in the US market. By combining Globe Air Cargo’s expertise with Air Serbia’s growing network, we aim to deliver seamless global logistics solutions”. The head of Air Serbia Cargo, Veselin Djordjević, added, “We’re pleased to partner with ECS Group as our Cargo GSA in the USA. They’re renowned in the industry and global leaders in cargo GSA representation. Our network offers access to hard-to-reach destinations including Podgorica, Tirana, Skopje, Sarajevo, Sofia, and Zagreb, alongside Belgrade. With over fifty drop-off points covered by extensive RFS connections via Chicago and New York JFK, our product is well-regarded in the USA. Serving both Chicago and New York year-round, we provide high-quality, reliable service to support the US export community”.
AirSerbia should found new company AirSerbia Cargo and operate cargo-only flights to China and North America if there is a need. It can also operate cargo-only turbo-props inside the region.

Later, AirSerbia Leisure could be created serving charter market.

DeleteYesterday i wanted to order a chair to be delivered to Nis from Novi Sad. The chair was 9000 dinars, the shipping for 2000 dinars. This messed up country needs to fix its internal shipping issues first aand then start plane deliveries.
DeleteHow come the shipping is something country has to fix. The market is fully liberalised, besides Pošta Srbije there are dozens of domestic and foreign delivering companies. Maybe more competition is needed, but that's not on state to fix. I agree 2000 is expensive, but market obviously says it's notas thé demande is high.
DeleteChairs are both heavy and bulky, the shipping price is okay (not saying it's cheap, but considering the volume of the shipment it's alright).
DeleteBy introdicing vignnetes and not charge expensive tolls on the highways? Traveling from Macedonia to Belgrade and back costs 30 eurs excluding gas, a year long vignette in Austria is 90 eurs. How are shipping companies to lowers costs when the state is destroying them with tolls?
DeleteOK, that's valid argument, but the toll costs are reasonable, although not cheap. I think bigger problem are margins

ReplyDelete2,000 is not expensive to send a chair. Even if it is only an hour away. I paid 100 euros for a taxi ride from the airport to Smederevo. And that was a legal taxi.

DeleteI've been waiting for an article like this to come out for quite some time. Ventures like this will certainly increase profits for the inter-continental flights of JU regardless of LF of passengers. Interesting to note that the company also has a base in Miami. If a similar partner can be found in China then we can expect massive income from that as well. These deals also solidify the regular operations of these routes, as there is a steady stream of income that can be relied upon year-round.
