Air Serbia has scheduled the first set of its new routes for the 2025 summer season and is due to take delivery of its fourth Airbus A330-200 aircraft shortly. The airline has put on sale flights from Belgrade to Florence, Mykonos and Alghero in Sardinia. Services to Florence will commence in April, while the latter two will be inaugurated early June. All will run twice per week. Mykonos will be maintained with the Embraer E195 aircraft, Florence with the ATR72-600, while the Airbus A319 will be deployed to Alghero. These additions will result in the airline operating ten destinations to Italy and seven in Greece. The airline initially considered operations to Olbia on Sardinia but opted for Alghero on the island instead. Both Mykonos and Alghero will be served by Air Serbia on a scheduled basis for the first time, while Florence was previously operated in 2023. The carrier is expected to schedule additional new routes, including Ibiza, in the coming period, when it obtains its desired slots.

Business class seats, all of which have direct-aisle access, offer a privacy shell, a six feet one inch full flat bed, a 15-inch LCD screen, in-seat power ports and an in-built massage function. Economy class offers a 31.5 to 33-inch seat pitch depending on where one sits. The cabin is fitted with cradle-style seats that slide forward and recline, 10.4-inch personal LCD screens, USB ports and power ports. The aircraft boasts mood lighting that is adjusted to suit the time of day. The cabins are the same as the ones featured on its third A330, registered YU-ARD. The aircraft has been undergoing maintenance in Dusseldorf for some time. Meanwhile, another of the carrier’s A330-200s, registered YU-ARB (Nikola Tesla), which has been undergoing regular scheduled maintenance in France since late October, is also expected to return to Belgrade soon, and recently received a touch up of its livery through surface treatment sanding.
About time
ReplyDeleteThe schedules for the new routes are excellent. Great for city break and holiday.
DeleteBravo Air Serbia ๐ท๐ธ๐ท๐ธ๐ท๐ธ
ReplyDeleteAny chance of establishing the flights to UK . Would love to see Air Serbia landing in Glasgow international UK.
DeleteThey could have changed the colours for the Expo livery a bit and not have two special liveries looking exactly the same.

DeleteI was honestly hoping for a retro livery (JAT)... or just a normal JU livery...
DeleteExactly. They’re real amateurs. How’s possible that they never ask for advice from specialists on this blog??
Delete^ It was written here months ago that it will be a special EXPO livery on the fourth one too.
DeleteLooks great, no need to change anything. Expo design is unique and no wayvJU can change it. People on here are unreal.
DeleteSo two planes looking like harlequins.
DeleteI wish they had put the original livery that YU/ARA had.
Not only two… 10 ATRs and 10 A319 looks like eggs in a basket
DeleteLuckily, not all of us are observing the world through your lens.
DeleteYeah, it’s pretty common for airlines to have full color kaleidoscope fleet… Luckily, you do not manage any of them
Delete^ neither do you, luckily.
DeleteIt's was never my intention at all. But at least, I do not post stupid comments
DeleteYU-ARB has been undergoing maintenance since the end of September. Could they have not done a cabin retrofit too?
ReplyDeleteCabin retrofit is a very expensive type of upgrade.
DeleteIt's not about expensive it is about getting a slot to do it.
DeleteWith proper timing and scheduling they could have done it now. But forward thinking was never the strongest characteristic of state run companies.
Delete^ No, it's not like you think.
DeleteInstead of politely asking keyboard specialists, they are doing on their own. C check and cabing retrofit are not done at the same place. You can not wash your car and change brake pads at the same garage, understand?
Delete@anon 09:12 - the retrofit was published in September. There is forward thinking but it doesn’t happen overnight, as you seem to expect. This isn’t QR and JU doesn’t have deep oil based pockets either. A dose of reality could be warranted.

When will Pupin get the Etihad style cabin?
ReplyDeleteThey sad next year.
Delete*said
DeleteFour A330's in. 4 to go by expo.
ReplyDeleteThey never said they will have 8 A330s by EXPO.
DeleteHope they have some promo fares for the new routes.
ReplyDeleteThey have!
DeleteI see now. Best time to buy tickets :D
DeleteI bought Florence and Alghero :)
DeleteNo other company can be compared to Air Serbia in ex-Yu.
ReplyDeleteLOL
DeleteNothing funny. That's completely true.
DeleteNot that there is much of a competition... But, yes, fully agree.
DeleteAll the others are more or less dead man walking.
DeleteLet's not forget OU was ahead of JU in 2013 (time before Air Serbia).
DeleteThose times are long gone. Just goes to show how much better JU performed over the past decade.
DeleteThat shows how competent JU employees are. Air Serbia kept on growing and expanding despite constant changes in mediocre CEOs. We should congratulate all of them on their hard work.
DeleteWhen we can expect another two A330s? Where they would fly?
ReplyDeleteWell, according to the article, AS will have 4 A330 by the end of this month..Where will they fly- well, according to some very "competent" comentators here, they will fly to Rome, Zurich and sometimes to Moskow..And 1 will be waiting on the ground all the time, to jump in , in case of emergency..
DeleteAccording to announcements, one (Pupin) is going to cabin retrofit after New Year, so there will be three of them, if both Tesla and Expo2 finally arrive
DeleteSmart choice of aircraft for the new routes.

DeleteWhat about Ibiza?
ReplyDeleteIt says it will be scheduled in the coming period.
DeleteWhat about it? Still there last time I checked.
DeleteArticle is changed 3 times this morning
DeleteIt said from 9AM this morning it will be scheduled in coming period. But like most people you didn't bother to read but came to complain.
DeleteWho complained?
DeleteImagine someone five years ago telling you there would be flights from Belgrade to ten cities in Italy including Alghero.
ReplyDeleteTrue!
DeleteWhy not Cagliari?
DeleteSo you could complain about something ❤️
Delete+100
DeleteExcellent news
ReplyDeleteOne maybe naive question: why Etihard gave up relative new planes?
ReplyDeleteBecause it was covid and they retired all A330s.
DeleteSimple answer, 787 is burning some 1,3t less fuel per hour
DeleteCabin is more modern
This is why I say that AirSerbia will not do grate on China’s market. If you are flying from China to Belgrade what will you choose 787 or old A330 with not that grate cabin.
You choose the quickest route. FYI Etihad does not fly to Belgrade and offers connections via other European cities which would mean a 2 stop trip from China.
DeleteOh and btw cabin configuration on Etihad's B787 and the A330 is identical.
DeleteWhen I am buying a ticket I check the price and timing and find the best buy for me in that moment. I've never heard anyone checking the seats and how old the cabin is when deciding, but I trust some people here does, so their comments are worth of attention. I'm sarcastic, of course!
Delete@anon 11:53
DeleteWell said!
@10:51
DeleteHey airline manager, you’re forgetting fact that for B787 you need completely new crew memeber, unile A332 which share type rating very similar to A319/320. Luckily, you are not in charge
Guys I’m not talking about AirSerbia taking 787…
DeleteGuy asked why Etihad gave up on a330 that are relatively new aircraft.
I just vant to say that cabin of two other airlines that are flying to BEG is much better.
Someone chose ticket price wise someone want more comfort.
Don't vant to grate this on you but Hainan mostly uses A330.
DeleteI know but from time to time you can see 787.
DeleteI was in Hainan a330 and you cannot compare interior with AirSerbia 330.
Yes you can. Influencers fly all over the world and all they do is COMPARE different interiors and service. Economy class is not much different on Hainan A330 and Air Serbia A330. Oh you flew in business? Well, well, good to know. Hainan has too much red for my taste anyway.
DeleteLove it
ReplyDeleteGreat to see Air Serbia expanding its network!
ReplyDeleteI’m glad Florence is back! It’s a beautiful city with so much history
DeleteWaiting for MRS and CAI
DeleteI don't expect MRS along with Nice. Also, they cannot send ATR to MRS as with FLR.
DeleteNo, but Ejet would fit perfectly. Marseille is still second largest city in France
DeleteI’ve been waiting for scheduled flights to Sardinia! Alghero is an excellent choice; it has a great mix of beaches and history. Sad to see they skipped Olbia, but Alghero works for me
ReplyDeleteonly two flights a week for each? That’s a bit tight for such popular summer destinations. Hope they’ll increase the frequency if demand picks up.
ReplyDeleteFlorence with the ATR72? I love Florence, but isn’t the ATR a bit small for such a route, especially during peak season?
ReplyDeleteLast time they used E195 and A319 and it didn't work. So ATR makes sense.
DeleteIt will be a long and not so much comfortable flight.
DeleteAir Serbia's ATR72-600s are actually very comfortable. Quiet with new cabins. I suggest you try it before making conclusions
DeleteWhy to bother trying? It is easier to belittle it.
DeleteIts only a 2hr trip guys, its not like you will go to Florence every weekend...so I believe it will be fine using the ATR for the season.
DeleteSo happy about Alghero and Mykonos. These are great summer destinations. Mykonos on the Embraer E195 seems like a smart move. Can't wait for next summer.
ReplyDeleteSeems like Olbia won't be launched, yet.
ReplyDeleteDo you bother to read what is written in the text?
Delete๐
DeleteWhat happened with YU-ATB? Did it go for scheduled maintenance? And what is happening with YU-ATA when will it go into regular service?
ReplyDeleteATB is on scheduled maintenance in Naples.
DeleteATA will not enter the fleet.
Why will ATA not enter the fleet? What happened with it? Will there be a replacement for it? Where did you get this information from?
DeleteHopfully there will be ATC, ATD etc next year.
DeleteLets hope for the best with the embraer fleet! Embraers are great to expand Air Serbia's network! I'm just wondering where the information @14:52 is from and if it's true that ATA will not join the fleet?
DeleteCorrosion has been found on ATA, so Air Serbia does not want to take aircraft in such state. Replacement E195 will come eventually.
Delete@16:06 where did you find this information from? Or where have you heard it from? It would be nice to know the source you got it from :)
DeleteYou never know what to trust on the internet. Some say YU-ATA was used by grandma once a month to the farmer's market and back, but the paperwork didn't match. Other say chemtrails switch didn't work. I am inclined to beleive the latter but who knows?
DeleteThen ATA may be combined with damaged OY-GDC to make one functional unit
DeleteIt does not work that way.
DeleteFor me will be perfect, if Air Serbia will start also a flights to Bratislava (Slovakia), but probably it is unreal. It will be more comfortable than travell to Vienna.
ReplyDeleteI think we can expect some LCC to start that route
DeleteAnyone else find the registration of YU-ARE kinda funny, in English that is.
ReplyDeleteI find it
DeleteWith the 4 wide bodies now we can finally see direct flights from BEG to Canada (YWG)!
ReplyDeleteinshallah
DeleteI'm now waiting for Air Serbia to promptly react and open new long haul route..This winter- 1 ORD, 2 JFK, 2-CAN, 2- PVG...Densifying Chinese routes won't be possible during next year, so not much options are left..Planes are not rented to be sitting..New route is needed, at least one, asap
DeleteFind pilots first and you can fly all 4 of them at once....just not to YWG like the poster above wants๐
Delete-28c today in YWG. Very reasonable prices for slots, much cheaper than YYZ.
