NEWS FLASH
Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport handled its eight-millionth passenger of the year today. The milestone was achieved for the first time in a single year. The traveller was registered on an Air Serbia flight to Athens. Belgrade Airport’s CEO, Chivoine Rem, said, “Today, we mark a significant milestone in the history of Belgrade Airport - welcoming our eight-millionth passenger, reflecting VINCI Airports' commitment to positioning Belgrade as a key hub for air traffic in the region. This achievement would not have been possible without the extensive expansion works carried out since 2019, and most importantly, without the trust of our passengers. We thank the passengers who place their trust in Belgrade Airport”. Air Serbia’s Chief Operations Officer, Milan MaloviΔ, noted, “Welcoming the eight-millionth passenger at Belgrade's Nikola Tesla Airport represents a significant milestone, and Air Serbia is honoured to have played a key role in achieving this remarkable success. As the national carrier, we remain committed to advancing Serbia's aviation sector and positioning Belgrade as a leading hub in the region. We congratulate Belgrade Airport on this achievement. To Mr Zagoruychenko [eight-millionth passenger], who has been awarded a ticket to any scheduled destination within Air Serbia's network, we wish a pleasant flight and an unforgettable experience in the city of his choice”. In addition to the complimentary return ticket, the traveller was awarded a 100 euro duty free voucher and one-year complimentary priority lane use at the airport.
:) wonder what would the present be, had it been a wizzair passenger
ReplyDeleteProbably 10% off of Wizz Air Priority.
DeleteOr a 40cm carryon bag
DeleteSo I'm guessing 8.2 million passengers this year
ReplyDeleteWith such a weak December and a weak November my guess is 8.1 maybe 8.12 by the end of the year.
DeleteSorry, but you guys are delusional. In next 20 days, number will go up to 8,5-8.6 mil total
DeleteYou really think they can handle all those passengers in like three weeks? Last December in the 30 days they had around 440.000 passengers.
DeleteWhat are you talking about? Last December had 641.020 passengers.
DeleteOh wow that's a lot. I thought it was much less. Maybe 440.000 was a year or two ago. So this year it should be around 600.000 because of less passengers as announced?
DeleteLess CAPACITY was announced. Passenger load factors may have improved
DeleteI noticed many are upgrading BEG. Last night and this morning OS sent A320.
Delete8,35-8.4
DeleteBelgrade will reach 8,4 million.
DeleteCongratulations! :) Belgrade rocks! π€πͺπΌ
ReplyDeleteBravo BEG πͺπ»
DeleteVinci should be silent since they are doing next to nothing to improve overall connectivity. If it weren't for Air Serbia and China Southern there would be nothing new at the airport they are running.
ReplyDeleteYou are right. They should not have reported that they handled their record 8 millionth passenger, a figure never achieved by the airport, so they could please you.
DeleteSomeone's hysterical here. Must be hurting a lot...
DeleteNew passenger record in the Ex Yu region. Congrats Belgrade! In my letter to Santa I asked for BEG airport for C concourse extension construction to break ground in 2025, return to double-digit growth and two more North America destinations!
ReplyDeleteI hope you were a good boy this year, because I want all those thing to come true as well.
DeleteBEG is SLOWLY returning to the prestige it had 30+ years ago. It has been a struggle and there is still a ways to go but it is getting there. Much respect.
ReplyDeleteOn right time, right man! Lucky Mr. Zagoruychenko on Belgrade Nikola Tesla International Airport. π·πΈπ«π¬π·
ReplyDeleteIt’s hard to be amazed by Belgrade consideting it’s the only real airport in the country, which is, by the way, horrendously centralized… Speaking of which, it’s time for Novi Sad to get its own low cost airport which could in a way, serve Belgrade as well..
ReplyDeleteThe geography of the country is such that it does not need more airports. Same thing in Hungary.
