easyJet replaces existing Croatia route

NEWS FLASH


Low cost carrier easyJet will commence a seasonal service between its new base at Milan Linate Airport and Split next summer, replacing operations between Milan Malpensa and the city. Flights will commence on June 23 and run six times per week until August 31. It is the second new route to be launched by the airline to Split next summer, complementing Liverpool. easyJet is Split’s largest carrier based on available seat capacity.     They opened LIN base because they got slots due to Lufthansa acquisition of ITA.

      Yep, antitrust laws in Linate gave Easyjet a lot of leverage in the Milan market

    Good for people from Milan but “bad” for those from Piemnote rigion and Switzerland due to direct connections to Malpensa

      I agree completely, I used it from Lugano. But don't forget that Croatia Airlines still does Malpensa-Split.
