NEWS FLASH
Airport Coordination Limited, which is responsible for slot allocation at London Heathrow Airport, has fined Croatia Airlines 12.000 pounds (14.500 euros) for “significantly off-slot operations” during the 2024 summer season. The regulator determined that a total of twelve of the airline’s London Heathrow flights did not adhere to their scheduled slot times. The decision is based on Regulation 16 within the Airports Slot Allocation Regulations, which details compliance requirements and the consequences of non-compliance related to the allocated takeoff and landing times (slots) at airports.
London Heathrow Airport is heavily slot-restricted. As one of the busiest airports in the world, it operates close to its maximum capacity. As a result, the demand for takeoff and landing slots far exceeds availability. This situation makes efficient slot use critical, and infractions often lead to significant penalties.
I'm sure the A220 will solve that issue!
ReplyDeleteYeah, and all others 😂
DeleteWhy using LHR, when you have A220 and can use LCY instead. What are the benefits of LHR, other than being United feeder.
DeleteAnon 13:06 The A220-300 is not allowed at LCY. The smaller 100 is. The only operators using the A220 at LCY are ITA Airways and Swiss both using the 100 version.
DeleteWhen you feed others then you get enough passengers for your own planes. Simple as that.
DeleteCroatia Airlines is never on time in Heathrow. Never. They wait for the Dubrovnik flight to arrive in Zagreb and then they leave for Heathrow, and this is just too tight to arrive on time in London.
ReplyDeleteThey are in the winter, it is Summer when most delays occur caused mostly by lazy Airside staff in EU Airports such as Amsterdam, Frankfurt and Munich which delay OU's operations later in the day.
DeleteNOT TRUE. OU491 is on time precisely 0% of the time in the winter as well.
DeleteI understand in summer but why are there delays in winter? There are minimal ATC restrictions and there is no real congestion at airports.
DeleteAnonymous 11.52 I suggest you check Flight radar 24. You will find on time flights for most of the last 4 months. It is peak summer when the delays occur on the Heathrow route.
DeleteIf they operated proper waves in ZAG they could be quite efficient, but I guess it's too early.
ReplyDeleteIm expecting Bajić to start complaining about FR or something now that will for sure fix the issue
ReplyDeleteSimple solution: utilize one of the other two airports in London. And save some money.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, that will never happen. Balkan people are all about status. And Heathrow is just that. Just like JFK is to Air Serbia. God forbid they fly into Newark Airport, or Stewart Airport, which also have international flights.
OU also fly Split- London Gatwick during the summer months.
DeleteAnon 1529, don't worry he is just a troll. Look how many pax fly ZAG-STN
DeleteStewart seriously?
