Austrian Airlines has adorned one of its Boeing 777 with the name “Spirit of Austria” and a 45-meter long line stave of the Blue Danube Waltz. Featured is the prelude to the piece composed by Johann Strauss. The Waltz is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year. Also shown is the slogan “mySound of Austria” and a flight attendant spreading the Waltz into the world. The livery took three days to be painted. It consists of 38 individual pieces and extends over a net area of 52 square metres. The Waltz is played upon boarding Austrian Airlines aircraft.
