Hainan Airlines has unveiled the second of six special "Kung Fu Panda"-themed liveries to mark its collaboration with DreamWorks Animation which produced the film. The livery was created by Hannah R. Foss, a digital illustrator and CGI modeller at the Geophysical Institute at the University of Alaska, who won a design competition held by Hainan Airlines last year. A total of eleven pandas are featured on the brightly coloured Boeing 787 Dreamliner. The film was chosen by Hainan as the "Kung Fu Panda" story is deeply rooted in Chinese history, culture and society.

Hello EX-YU Aviation News!
ReplyDeleteThis is Hannah Foss, the designer of the 3rd Kung Fu Panda Livery for Hainan Airlines.
I'm sorry for the mixup, but I cannot claim credit for designing the above livery- you would need to contact Boeing+Dreamworks, as I think this beautiful red livery was a joint effort on their behalf.
I created the livery linked below, which is now flying happily around China:

Sorry for the confusion and I hope you have a wonderful day :)
