Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has introduced a new livery with its logo and design including a painting of the Markhor, the national animal which inhabits the mountainous regions of the country. The Markhor is visible on the tail of the aircraft, while the Pakistani flag has also been incorporated, accompanied by the acronym PIA written in English and Urdu. However, the new look is likely to be short-lived with the Pakistani Supreme Court halting the introduction of the new livery, noting that PIA's financial performance does not warrant further spending on a costly new livery.
