Montenegro’s busiest airport, Tivat, has seen its passenger numbers grow during the first two months of the year. Growth in January amounted to 11.7%, with the airport recording 20.438 passengers, while numbers improved 3.5% in February when 14.149 travellers were handled. As a result, Tivat Airport welcomed 34.587 passengers during the first two months of 2015, an increase of 7.7% compared to the same period last year. January and February are traditionally the slowest months of the year for Tivat Airport. It handled 910.533 passengers in 2014 and is the former Yugoslavia’s eighth busiest, ahead of Sarajevo and Podgorica.
