Skopje Airport introduces free Wi-Fi

Friday, October 16, 2015

TAV Macedonia, in cooperation with Makedonski Telekom, yesterday introduced free wireless Internet access at Skopje Alexander the Great Airport. The free of charge Wi-Fi is available in the terminal building, as well as the VIP lounge, and passengers can use it simply by connecting to the Wi-Fi network under the name “Telekom HotSpot". "We are really happy that we can add another new service for passengers to our portfolio of non-aviation services and thereby follow global trends by enabling free Wi-Fi. Until now, we have also offered passengers free of charge Internet, but with a limited time interval and only at certain locations. Now we are providing the service through the entire terminal building and it's unlimited. With the new quality and fast Internet that we are offering now in cooperation with Macedonian Telekom, we believe that we will fulfil passengers’ needs", Zoran Krstevski, TAV Macedonia’s General Manager, said. The fast Internet provided at Skopje Airport by Makedonski Telekom is supplemented by customer protection. Therefore, filtering is enabled for any inappropriate content, such as protection against viruses and spam. Airports within the former Yugoslavia which already offer free unlimited Wi-Fi include Belgrade, Dubrovnik, Ljubljana, Podgorica, Split and Tivat.
